Soccer Game Preview: Pickens vs. Greer

The Pickens Blue Flame will challenge the Greer Yellow Jackets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pickens is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Berea last Thursday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Greer entered their tilt with Travelers Rest last Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Devildogs get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. It was an even better day for Kim Gomez as she scored three goals for her team.

Pickens' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Greer, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything went Pickens' way against Greer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Pickens made off with a 3-0 victory. Will Pickens repeat their success, or does Greer has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
