Alfred-Almond is a perfect 3-0 against Hinsdale Central since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 11:00 a.m.

Alfred-Almond couldn't beat Campbell-Savona on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-6. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale Central can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past Friendship 17-2. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bobcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Jackson Jones was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tyler Richards was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Caleb Elliott was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Hinsdale Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hinsdale Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Alfred-Almond, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
