Football Recap: Blacksher Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Chickasaw two weeks ago, Blacksher came back down to earth. Blacksher came up short against Clarke County on Friday, falling 21-0. The loss continues a trend for Blacksher in their meetings with Clarke County: they've now lost six in a row.

Hunter White threw for 51 yards on four of nine attempts. Lagan Rolin was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Clarke County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Peebo Pugh out in front who rushed for 57 yards on only eight carries, and also threw for 59 yards and one touchdown. Another rusher making a difference was Martez Owens, who rushed for 71 yards and one TD.

Blacksher's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Clarke County, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Blacksher will square off against Excel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Clarke County, they will challenge Millry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
