Soccer Recap: Waltrip Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Waltrip hadn't done well against Sharpstown recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Waltrip Rams' defense stepped up to hand the Sharpstown Apollos a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Rams were the better team in the second half.

Waltrip has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Waltrip wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against Carnegie Vanguard on the 1st. As for Sharpstown, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-2 win against Galena Park on the 28th.
