Basketball Recap: Ascend Leadership Takes a Loss

Ascend Leadership was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-27 loss at the hands of the American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots. The match marked the Aviators' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ascend Leadership now has a losing record at 3-4. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-6.

Ascend Leadership will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southern Wake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. American Leadership Academy-Johnston will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Thales Academy Rolesville at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
