Basketball Game Preview: Harlandale Indians vs. Southside Cardinals

Two dominant guards in Sadie Mancha and Gabryela Galvan are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Harlandale Indians will head out to challenge the Southside Cardinals at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Harlandale is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Harlandale was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to Jay. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 718th, while the Mustangs are ranked 242nd).

Meanwhile, Southside suffered their biggest defeat since February 15th last Friday. They took a blow against MacArthur, falling 59-29.

Harlandale's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Southside, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 20-5.

Harlandale was able to grind out a solid win over Southside in their previous meeting back in January, winning 38-30. Does Harlandale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
