Basketball Game Preview: Central Crossing Comets vs. Westerville Central Warhawks

The Central Crossing Comets will head out on the road to square off against the Westerville Central Warhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Central Crossing lost to Hilliard Darby on the road by a 59-42 margin. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while the Panthers are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westerville Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 win over Westerville South on Tuesday. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Central Crossing has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Westerville Central, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Central Crossing came up short against Westerville Central in their previous meeting back in January, falling 50-43. Can Central Crossing avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
