Basketball Recap: Eagletown Takes a Loss

Eagletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Battiest Panthers. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 48-46.

Eagletown's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for Battiest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Eagletown will head out on the road to challenge Haileyville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Battiest, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-15 loss against Quinton on the 5th.
