Basketball Game Preview: DASH United vs. Chatham HomeSchool Thunder

DASH is 1-9 against Chatham HomeSchool since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The DASH United will challenge the Chatham HomeSchool Thunder at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

DASH is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Star Christian Academy 94-49. With the United ahead 57-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

DASH got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Taylor out in front who went 12 for 13 en route to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Taylor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jason Judd, who went 10 of 16 on his way to 24 points.

Meanwhile, Chatham HomeSchool came up short against Shining Light Academy on Monday and fell 73-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (57), the Thunder still had to take the loss.

DASH's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Chatham HomeSchool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-12.

DASH was dealt a bruising 85-49 loss at the hands of Chatham HomeSchool when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can DASH avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
