Basketball Recap: Homestead Skates Past Coral Reef with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Miami, Homestead was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Coral Reef Barracudas 67-11. The match marked the Broncos' most dominant win of the season so far.

Homestead found their leader in sophomore Alissa Brown, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 17 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Caitylyn Gibson was another key player, putting up five points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Homestead was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-2. As for Coral Reef, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Homestead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-5 win against Central on the 13th. As for Coral Reef, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-25 defeat against South Dade on the 13th.
