Basketball Recap: Hampton Comes Up Short

After flying high against University School on Tuesday, Hampton came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Unicoi County Blue Devils on Wednesday, falling 49-29. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost three in a row.

Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Unicoi County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Hampton has already played their next contest, a 68-34 defeat against North Greene on the 13th. As for Unicoi County, they will challenge Happy Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
