Basketball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 64-50 to the Harbor Creek Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-33 back in January.

Harbor Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tucker Chwatek, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Chwatek has become a key player for Harbor Creek: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 6-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was JT Delsandro, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Harbor Creek, their record is now 9-11.

Looking ahead, Northwestern will take on General McLane at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harbor Creek, they will square off against North East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harbor Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season.
