Football Game Preview: West Jessamine Colts vs. Southwestern Warriors

The West Jessamine Colts will host the Southwestern Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in West Jessamine's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Southwestern has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Friday, West Jessamine beat Tates Creek 28-16.

Meanwhile, Southwestern played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Rockcastle County 42-7. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

West Jessamine's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Southwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

West Jessamine was dealt a bruising 59-20 loss at the hands of Southwestern in their previous matchup back in August of 2022. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Colts were down 40-20.
