Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ponte Vedra). They put the hurt on the Orange Park Raiders with a sharp 8-1 win on Tuesday. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Raiders are ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Ponte Vedra and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Orange Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ponte Vedra will host Bishop Kenny at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orange Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clay at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. Clay will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Orange Park surely won't give up without a fight.
