Staunton and Wilson Memorial are an even 4-4-2 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Storm will head out to face off against the Green Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Staunton will be strutting in after a victory while Wilson Memorial will be coming in after a defeat.

Wilson Memorial will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Staunton extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Storm's defense stepped up to hand Rockbridge County a 5-0 shutout. Considering Staunton have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wilson Memorial fell victim to Staunton and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Storm. Wilson Memorial haven't had much luck with Staunton recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Staunton pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 54 goals over those seven games. As for Wilson Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1.

Staunton was able to grind out a solid win over Wilson Memorial in their previous meeting on Monday, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
