Softball Recap: Liberty Triumphs

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Liberty and Heritage had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Lions walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Patriots on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Taylor Jennings was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in June of 2025. Camryn Jennings also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Liberty's record is now 10-1. As for Heritage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Liberty will challenge Granada at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will venture away from home to take on Freedom at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
