Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Continues Home Dominance on Monday + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marvin Ridge, Piedmont was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since August 19, 2024.

Piedmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-8.

Landry Smith paced Piedmont's offense, picking up 14 kills. Smith got some help from Emily Nunez and her 21 assists. Finally, Smith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.
