Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Greene Thunderbirds vs. Orleans Bulldogs

The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds and the Orleans Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Eastern Greene took a blow against Vincennes Rivet, falling 55-20. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Orleans had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They came out on top against the Commodores by a score of 41-30.

Orleans' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points per game. As for Eastern Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went Eastern Greene's way against Orleans in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, as Eastern Greene made off with a 51-31 victory. Will Eastern Greene repeat their success, or does Orleans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
