Basketball Recap: Groton Comes Up Short

Groton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Southern Cayuga Chiefs and fell 62-23. The Red Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chiefs from their previous meeting back in December of 2021.

Groton's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Southern Cayuga, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Groton has already played their next contest (against Dryden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southern Cayuga will challenge Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
