Volleyball Recap: Wesleyan Comes Up Short on the Road Against Druid Hills + How To Watch

Wesleyan had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Druid Hills Red Devils on Thursday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Wesleyan was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21.

Emma Jane Gillis paced Wesleyan's offense, picking up five kills. Gillis got some help from Caroline Stickney and her 12 assists. Stickney and Gillis were also some pesky defenders, as each blocked three attacks.

Coincidentally, Wesleyan and Druid Hills will both be playing Riverwood the next time they take the court. The Wolves will head out to face the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
