Basketball Recap: Wadsworth Comes Up Short

Wadsworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Twinsburg Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Tigers are ranked 279th).

Wadsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Twinsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wadsworth has already played their next matchup (against Coventry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Twinsburg has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Lutheran West.
