Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monticello). Everything went their way against the Dumas Bobcats on Monday as they made off with a 19-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Billies in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Jude Parke looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Danner Loyd was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Jonah White was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Monticello always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .711. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Monticello's record is now 8-9. As for Dumas, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello will take on Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lumberjacks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Billies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dumas, they will challenge DeWitt at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
