Volleyball Recap: St. Augustine Comes Up Short

St. Augustine was the 3-0 winner over Saint Mary's Hall when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Barons on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-15.

Leading Saint Mary's Hall to victory were Breanna Benavides and Luciana Stevens. Benavides had 19 digs and five aces, while Stevens had 20 assists and three digs. Benavides has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 49 times she's played.

St. Augustine now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Augustine will challenge Harmony School of Excellence at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they will face off against St. Anthony at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
