Volleyball Recap: Lakeview Academy Comes Up Short

Lakeview Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 4th.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethlehem Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evie Powell, who had seven kills, four digs, and four aces. That's the most aces Powell has posted over her last 12 matches. Another player making a difference was Elle Koziatek, who had 12 blocks, five kills, and three digs.

Lakeview Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lakeview Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Athens Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bethlehem Christian Academy will challenge rival Tallulah Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
