Basketball Recap: La Monte Comes Up Short

La Monte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 76-30 loss at the hands of Jamestown. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 55-24 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

La Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Jamestown, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Monte and Green Ridge will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The contest will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Jamestown, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Otterville at 7:30 p.m. on January 12, 2026.
