Football Game Preview: Josey Eagles vs. Butler Bulldogs + How To Watch

Josey is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Butler Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Josey has given up an average of 31.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Josey is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 38 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Fox Creek on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 40-6 loss at the hands of the Predators. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 453rd in Georgia, while the Predators are ranked 154th in South Carolina).

Meanwhile, Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 23-16 to Towns County.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Josey, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Josey was taken down by Butler 42-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
