Sunset came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Beaverton Beavers an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Apollos, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Sunset pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Beaverton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.
