Recap: Pleasanton Eagles vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats
After a string of five wins, the Pleasanton Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Carrizo Springs 51-45. Pleasanton lost against Carrizo Springs in their previous head to head last Saturday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-37 score last time.
Carrizo Springs found their leader in underclassman Melanie Davila, who scored 20 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davila has scored at least 25% of Carrizo Springs' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adisyn Reyes, who scored ten points.
Pleasanton now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Carrizo Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasanton will be home for the holidays to greet Cotulla at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cotulla has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Carrizo Springs will be home for the holidays to greet Devine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
