Football Recap: Seminole Ridge Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Seminole Ridge extended their postseason success on Monday against Martin County. They blew past the Tigers 33-0. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Fogel, who threw for 305 yards and five touchdowns while completing 88.2% of her passes. Fogel has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times she's played.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Seminole Ridge's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Lily Von-Purkyne.

The win (which was Seminole Ridge's seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points over those games. As for Martin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Seminole Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-6 win against Belleview on the 1st. Martin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
