Volleyball Recap: Newton-Conover Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Lincoln, Newton-Conover was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bunker Hill Bears by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won nine in a row.

Newton-Conover was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 16-25, 25-21.

Mollie Ross paced Newton-Conover's offense, picking up 25 kills. Ross got some help from Maria Starnes and her 38 assists. Starnes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
