Preview: Ash Fork Spartans vs. St. Michael Cardinals
Ash Fork is 0-3 against St. Michael since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ash Fork Spartans' road trip will continue as they head out to face the St. Michael Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Ash Fork focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Ash Fork came up short against Kingman and fell 45-33.
Despite the defeat, Ash Fork got a solid performance out of Jamie Keele, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. Keele continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Gracie Staples was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Michael entered their tilt with Fort Thomas with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. St. Michael walked away with a 51-41 win over Fort Thomas on Thursday.
Ash Fork's win bumped their season record to 4-7 while Kingman's loss dropped theirs to 2-2.
Ash Fork took a serious blow against St. Michael in their previous matchup back in January, falling 58-17. Can Ash Fork avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
