Baseball Recap: Oakman Takes a Loss

Oakman lost against Curry back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Oakman Wildcats fell just short of the Curry Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.

Oakman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in RBI. Weston Burton also deserves some recognition as he stolen his first stolen bases of the season.

Oakman now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Curry, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Oakman and Curry will both be playing Addison the next time they take the field. Oakman will head out to face Addison at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Curry will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
