Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DSST: Green Valley Ranch). They came out on top against the DSST: College View Wolves by a score of 63-54 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raptors also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Skyyaire Russell went supernova for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, going 8 for 14 on his way to 20 points and five assists. Those 20 points gave Russell a new career-high. Tong Bot was another key player, putting up five points and nine rebounds.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why DSST: College View lost, don't look at Isaias Tomita. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. Tomita is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least seven every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Sosa, who posted 12 points and four steals.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch's record is now 4-5. As for DSST: College View, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch will venture away from home to challenge KIPP Denver Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DSST: Green Valley Ranch has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for DSST: College View, they will square off against DSST: Cedar at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DSST: Cedar is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.7 points per game this season.
