After losing to Basalt the last time they met, Delta decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Delta Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Basalt Longhorns 65-62. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Basalt's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elias Schendler, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Schendler is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Williams, who to rack up 16 points.

The win got Delta back to even at 11-11. As for Basalt, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Delta will host Coal Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coal Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season. As for Basalt, they will square off against Fort Lupton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Lupton will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Basalt surely won't give up without a fight.
