After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hermitage, Lafayette County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Emerson Pirates. That looming 13-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Saniya Davis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Davis was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

In other batting news, Lafayette County got a massive performance out of Peyton Bingle, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Nakiya White was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Lafayette County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lafayette County's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Emerson, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
