Basketball Recap: Bailey Pritt's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Braxton County over Calhoun

Braxton County lost against Calhoun back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Braxton County Eagles fell to the Calhoun Red Devils 36-30.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bailey Pritt, who posted 11 points and four steals. That's the most steals Pritt has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avah Mollohan, who scored nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Braxton County dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Calhoun, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Braxton County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-27 loss against Wirt County on the 13th. As for Calhoun, they have also already played their next matchup, a 69-44 defeat against Tyler on the 13th.
