Softball Recap: Havelock Rams vs. J.H. Rose Rampants
Havelock had lost five straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-15 to make it six. They lost 13-0 to the J.H. Rose Rampants. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Andria Krupey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases.
As for J.H. Rose, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
On J.H. Rose's side, Santana Sneed made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Sneed was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Amira Abulatifa was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Hardy, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
