Softball Recap: Central Beats Enterprise for Their 28th Straight Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central walked away with it. They blew past the Enterprise Wildcats 7-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Red Devils have won 30 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Allyson Supan was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Savannah Sevier was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 games. Mariah Harrison was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

The win was the 28th in a row for Central, bringing their record up to 44-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Enterprise, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 23-7 record.

As of now, neither Central nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
