Soccer Recap: Culver Academies Takes a Loss

Culver Academies and South Bend Saint Joseph squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Culver Academies had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Huskies who were credited with the victory. The South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to the Culver Academies Eagles' one.

Culver Academies' goal came courtesy of Kevin Chen Li, who's now up to six this season.

Culver Academies has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-2 record this season. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-11-3.

Culver Academies does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against NorthWood on the 11th.
