Rocky Bayou Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Lighthouse Private Christian Academy 27-5 on Thursday. Considering the Knights have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Audra Morgan made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Morgan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skyler Dill-Langley, who went 3-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Dill-Langley is crushing it when it comes to hits: she's got at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Bailey Nance was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Rocky Bayou Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .776. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Pensacola Catholic never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Booker T. Washington last Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 26-5 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Crusaders' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Like Rocky Bayou Christian, Pensacola Catholic also got a great game from a two-way player: Regan Thornhill. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Thornhill was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Morgan Smith was incredible, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and five runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brynlie McLaughlin, who went 3-for-6 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Rocky Bayou Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3. As for Pensacola Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.
Pensacola Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rocky Bayou Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. It's a different story for Pensacola Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .187. Will they be able to contain Rocky Bayou Christian's hitters?
