Basketball Recap: Woodward Bulldogs vs. Aiken Falcons

Woodward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 101-65 loss at the hands of the Aiken Falcons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Jaiden Arnold, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight assists and three steals for Aiken. Arnold has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Hutcherson Jr, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and seven assists.

Woodward's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Aiken, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Woodward will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool on February 4th. As for Aiken, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-43 victory against Lakota East on the 18th.
