Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Tigers vs. Mannford Pirates

The Cleveland Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Mannford Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleveland is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Cleveland lost to Perkins-Tryon at home by a 39-22 margin. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Demons are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mannford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Sperry by a score of 49-41 on Tuesday. Mannford hasn't had any issues with Sperry recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Mannford, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Cleveland came up short against Mannford in their previous matchup back in January, falling 47-42. Can Cleveland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
