Softball Game Preview: Commerce Tigers vs. Ector Eagles

The Commerce Tigers will face off against the Ector Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Commerce hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

It was a proper cat-fight when Commerce faced off against Rains on Wednesday. Commerce came up short against Rains, falling 20-2.

Commerce saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karis Lewis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Lewis has posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, Ector hadn't done well against Dodd City recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ector walked away with a 9-6 victory over Dodd City. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Ector, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
