Baseball Recap: Ridgedale Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Ridgedale put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Bucyrus Redmen by a score of 8-3. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redmen, too.

Ayden Salyer and Brody Mawer made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Salyer pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Mawer pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At the plate, Salyer went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Mawer went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kolin Neville was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Ridgedale's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Bucyrus, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Ridgedale will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasant at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bucyrus, they are taking a road trip to square off against Upper Sandusky at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
