Basketball Recap: Eustis Comes Up Short

Eustis fought the good fight in their overtime game against Apopka on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 66-62 to the Blue Darters. The Panthers have struggled against the Blue Darters recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Eustis lost, don't look at Eric Glover. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-14 en route to 23 points. Glover is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Kevin Daniels was another key player, putting up nine points.

Eustis' defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Apopka, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Eustis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-36 win against Davenport on the 27th. As for Apopka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 79-36 victory against Lake Minneola on the 28th.
