Softball Recap: Grand Prairie Comes Up Short

Grand Prairie's tournament run continued when they took on Ryan on Thursday. The Grand Prairie Gophers lost 17-3 to the Ryan Raiders. The Gophers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grand Prairie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leslie Perez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Grand Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ryan, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Grand Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Newman Smith on the 28th. As for Ryan, they will be playing at home against Birdville at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th.
