Softball Recap: Buena Takes a Loss

Buena lost against Oxnard last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-1 to the Yellowjackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Buena's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Oxnard, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Buena is set to square off against their familiar foe Santa Barbara at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oxnard will challenge rival Ventura at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Cougars a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
