While Medford put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Northland Pines. The Raiders blew past the Eagles 17-0. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.
Rylee Hraby made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hraby was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most triples she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Medford got a massive performance out of Zayleah Leonhardt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Finley Arndt was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Medford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Medford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Northland Pines, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
Looking ahead, Medford will take on Phillips at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northland Pines, they will challenge Hurley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
