Baseball Recap: Diamond Ranch Comes Up Short

Diamond Ranch might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Calvary Baptist who claimed the real prize. Diamond Ranch took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Baptist. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly five runs.

Isaiah Aparicio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Ethan Lomeli was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Diamond Ranch's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Calvary Baptist, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Coming up, Diamond Ranch will square off against Providence at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Diamond Ranch is facing Providence at the right time seeing as Providence is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Calvary Baptist, they have already played their next game, a 21-0 win against Packinghouse Christian Academy on the 25th.
