Basketball Game Preview: Fabens Wildcats vs. Riverside Rangers

Fabens is 1-9 against Riverside since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Fabens Wildcats will host the Riverside Rangers at 7:30 p.m.

Fabens is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since February 9, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Ysleta, falling 66-41. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1258th, while the Indians are ranked 479th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Riverside, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They strolled past Clint with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-42.

Riverside has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Fabens, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
